Your comfort is at the heart of what we do
This is why we’ve considered every detail of our office chair design. Each chair is fully adjustable, from the armrests and lumbar support to the seat depth and tilt angle.
- Adjustable lumbar support
- Multi-movement arms
- Seat height and depth adjustment
- Swivelling headrest
- Height adjustment
- Automatic-adjusting tilt that can also be locked into place, depending on your preference
- Moulded seat foam that won’t sag over time
- Mesh backrest that allows airflow
We thrive on attention to detail, and you could even say we’re obsessed with ensuring each chair is perfectly designed. Strains and stresses that could impact the lifespan of your chair are analysed and tested. The seat foam has been designed so it won’t sag after a few months of use.

And it doesn’t need to be this way.
Built to support your body’s natural posture, Slouch office chairs reduce the risk of strains and pains. The contours of the chair encourage you to sit properly at your desk, embracing and supporting your body for complete alignment.

Slouch FAQs

-
Can I order fabric samples before I commit to buying?
Absolutely. We encourage you to order a fabric sample so you can see the true fabric colour before making a purchase. Most of our chairs are available in five colours: bluestone, cedar, charcoal, fog, and pink.
-
Why do I need a mesh office chair?
A mesh back isn’t just a design choice. It can actually offer additional comfort and support.
The breathable material allows air to flow through, which means you won’t get that sticky, overheated feeling after sitting down for hours. Mesh also adapts to the shape of your back, giving you better support where you need it most and helping to maintain good posture.
It’s lightweight and easy to keep clean, making it a practical choice for everyday use in a busy workspace.
-
What does the forward seat tilt do?
The forward seat tilt is a feature that allows you to angle the seat of your chair downwards at the front.
This encourages your hips to stay open and your spine to sit in a more natural, upright position. It’s especially handy if you spend a lot of time leaning forward for tasks like typing or writing, as it reduces the pressure on your lower back and helps you avoid that hunched-over posture.
It keeps you comfortable, supported, and better aligned while you work.
-
How do I adjust my reclining office chair to suit me?
The reclining feature is there for comfort, but you might prefer to lock its position so you can sit more upright.
To lock it in place, lean back in the chair to your preferred position and then push the recline lever down (located on the front left side of the chair).
The key is to find a balance where the chair supports you without having to fight it. Once it’s set, you’ll be able to move naturally while staying comfortable and supported throughout the day.
We recommend that the chair stays in the unlocked position as this is generally better for your back health.
-
Do I need a chair with armrests?
Armrests aren’t essential, but they can make a big difference to your comfort. They give your arms and shoulders somewhere to rest, which helps reduce the tension in your neck and upper back.
Adjustable armrests are even better, as you can set them to the right height and width for your body and workstation.
Should you choose to use armrests, they should be set so that your forearms are level with your office desk.
-
Do I need a chair with caster wheels?
Caster wheels make it easy to move around your workspace without the need to stand up. They can be handy when you’re reaching for files, sliding between desk areas, or going for a chat with a colleague.
They’re especially useful on hard floors or low-pile carpet, where the chair can glide smoothly.
-
What is the difference between standard and hard-floor casters?
Standard casters are designed for use on carpet. They’re usually made of harder plastic and roll easily over soft flooring.
However, if you were to use these on a wooden floor, they may slide too much and even cause scratches. This is why we designed hard-floor casters, specifically constructed for wooden or laminate flooring.
Our hard-floor casters are made from Desmopan® thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU). It is currently the best (and priciest) material for soft wheel castors. It offers smooth movement between spaces and protects your office floor from damage.
