We talked all things health, fitness and lifestyle with Georgia Heins

We interviewed Georgia Heins, who shares how she creates daily habits to improve her lifestyle – without relying on fleeting motivation. She talks systems over willpower, how to build discipline through structure, and why progress (not perfection) is the key to staying consistent. From energy-based scheduling to simple habit-stacking tricks, Georgia breaks down the real strategies that make healthy living sustainable, even with a packed schedule.

How do you stay motivated and disciplined when hitting your goals?

I don’t rely on motivation, it’s inconsistent and emotional. Discipline comes from having a system – clear goals, clear deadlines, and a clear reason why they matter. When your environment supports your goals, you don’t have to “feel like it.” You just do it.

What inspires you to remain consistent?

Progress is addictive. When you track your actions and see results, consistency becomes automatic. I stay focused on inputs – sleep, training, food, mindset – because those are the things I can control.

What are your top tips for someone wanting to implement healthy habits into their lifestyle?

Start small. Stack new habits onto existing ones (e.g., stretch while the kettle boils). Make it harder to do the wrong thing and easier to do the right thing.

How do you set realistic goals for yourself?

By doing the math. If your goal requires more time, energy, or skill than you realistically have right now, it’s not a goal it’s a fantasy. I reverse-engineer the outcome, then break it into actions I can do daily or weekly. If I can’t measure it or repeat it, I don’t commit to it.

Do you think social media portrays a healthy lifestyle accurately?

Social media shows results, not routines. It shows the highlight reel, not the hours of effort behind the scenes. A healthy lifestyle is built on boring, repeatable basics – sleep, hydration, protein, movement – not hacks, trends, or aesthetics.

What advice would you give to someone with a strict work schedule who wants to incorporate healthy habits into their daily routine?

Design your day around energy, not just time. You don’t need more hours, you need better systems. Prep meals in bulk, train with intent (not for time), and automate as much as possible. Discipline is easier when your life is set up to support it.
